Blood bags

NEW BLOOD BAGS through Technology Procurement
19 November 2010, 9 am - 3 pm, Stockholm city centre
This seminar presents the results of a project about how to stimulate the development of PVC-free blood bags.
You will learn more about the tool of technology procurement, about why new bags are desireable, how we have worked to achieve our objectives and about the potential for attaining new bags based on a market analysis. Requirements specification will be described, as well as comparisons of different procurement alternatives.

Technology procurement of non-toxic blood bags
The aim is to stimulate development, in partnership with county councils, of a non-toxic alternative to the blood bags currently in use. The tool we are using for this is technology procurement. Technology procurement, procuring something that is not on the market, has an impact through a group of purchasers placing common demands.
